Nail the siding sheet underlay directly to the house outer plywood walls. Start installing the sheets from the top left to the right.Then move your way down to the bottom of your wall. Place a nail in every foot around the perimeter.Cut access underlay off flush with the plywood which meets the house footing.Nail the first wood shingle to the wall at the bottom left corner. Permittwo inches of shingle to hang below the siding underlay. Nail two nails into the center of each wood shingle. Do not forget to measure it exactly. Have the nails be at least 1 centimeter away fromthe shingle edge.Nail complete row along the bottom in this fashion.Cut a shingle in half the long way. Get back to your first wood shingle you nailed down, and then lay the half shingle flush with the wall edge and the nails on the shingle under it. Measureit so the shingles keep straight the entire length. Get two nails into center of the wood shingle.
Have the nails be at least 1 centimeter from the shingle edge. Continue nailing full shingles next to the entire length and then continue this process up the entire wall. The purpose of the half shingle is to offset the gap.
