Did you even find your curtain ripped one day? And then of course you needed to fix it right? But of course again, fixing ripped curtain requires sewing skills and that’s one thing that we will discuss here, about how to sew curtains. Of course you can always got to the local fabric shop for buying the new one (the curtain), but it will be Ok if you just have bunch of money. So, instead of wasting/ spending your wallet off, it will be better to get the curtain fixed by yourself, since sewing ripped curtain will be as simple as possible.
The first thing you need to do is to get the ripped area measured to find out how long/ big the ripped area (please ass an inch of the measurement for the length and width of the ripped hole/ area). Then after that, get an iron-on patch cut based on the hole rip measurement that you have made previously. Of course you will need an iron-on patch that has the same color as the curtain. These iron-on patches can be easily found at fabric stores. Then after that, you will need to find out from what the curtain was made by reading the fabric care label. Don’t get it ironed if the curtain was made from nylon or rayon since it will simply melt down. If your curtain is this type, then you will need to use fabric glue to apply the patches instead of ironing it or sew it.
Then, after you applied the patches whether it is ironed, glued, sewed, your curtain will be ready to be used again. The result will depend on your skill itself. If you do the work perfectly, then the result will be neat and as if there is no problem with your curtain before.
