Changing the look and design of a room sometimes can be a challenging thing. Changing design does not mean to replace all the furniture with the new one. If it is still in a good condition, you just need to add a little touch to make it new-look. For example, the cabinet. You do not need to buy the new one if the cabinet you have is still in a good condition. You just need to repaint it and it will be worth time and effort. Painting laminate cabinets is simply enough. Here are the steps you can follow.

In painting laminate cabinets, firstly, you need to remove all the doors and drawers from the cabinet. Then, clean all parts of the cabinet, including the bases, from the dirt and stains attached on them. After all dirt and stains are cleaned out, sand them using sandpaper. Only the outside part of the doors, drawers, and cabinets need this treatment. But, if you also want the inside part to be painted, you then need to paint thes parts, too. Wipe all the crumbs using clean clothes and make sure that there is no any crumb left on the parts of the cabinets before you start to paint it.  For the first or called as a primer coat, you need to cover all the doors, bases, drawers, and the other parts you want with the desired color of latex paint. Wait for about 24 hours or until the first coat is completely dry. Now, apply the second coat, just like the first coat, thoroughly, using the same color of the latex paint. Allow this to dry completely for about 24 hours.

You can apply varnish or sealer on the surface of the cabinet to protect the painting from dirt and stains. It will also make the cabinet look glossy and elegant. The process of painting laminate cabinets is done, and it is time to put all the parts back on their places. Screw it firmly using screwdriver, and see how wonderful your old-cabinet looks!
