Your pool’s grout is not only a necessity which is structural in keeping the leaking water on the tiles, but also if it is in the clean condition gives you the appealing and fresh look. So, when you have the problem with your pool’s grout, or when it just goes dirty after years, you will need to get it fixed by re-grouting it. By doing the re-grouting activity by yourself you will save yourself a lot of money from the cost of this project. Here below are the things related to how to re-grout tile of your pool? 1. Firstly, draining the pool with the suction pump. This step will of course take some time especially when the pool is in its full condition, so it is better for you to get the project started several days before.

2. Next, you will need to get goggles & respiratory put on you for protecting your eyes and also keeping from breathing grout’s dust.

3. Get a narrow diamond bitted grinder for grinding out the old grout in the middle of each tile. Get it grinded at least ½ inch for channel’s depth or the grout will not stick at all.

4. Next, the cleaned channel must be hosed out for removing any grinding’s dust. This should be done before applying the grouts so the walls are still in the wet condition.

5. Get the pool grout prepared based on the package’s directions. Just get only a small amount prepared at a time for avoiding it to dry out before getting it on the tiles.

6. How to re-grout tile after that, get the grouts spread out into the channels in the middle of the tiles using a putty knife. Make it sure that you will press the grout in all the way. You don’t need to worry if some of the grouts get into the tiles. Get all of the channels filled with grout and then let it set for a few hours.

7. Get the tiles’ surface wiped down using a wet sponge for removing any grout. Just do it gently, since the grout is soft.

8. Finally, leave the grout cured for about 24 hours and then get it scrubbed using a brush. This will get any residue’s slight traces on the tiles and get rid the excess grout.
