Featuring your home with wall mount sliding doors interior can be a good option to build a certain style in your home. However, sometimes when you find that the door is broken or it is no longer attractive, you need to replace it with a new one. In order to replace it, you will need to remove the old one. Removing a sliding door is not a simple job, but you can learn it easily.
To remove wall mount sliding doors interior, you have to firstly break the polyurethane seal between the trim and wall by scoring along the edge of the trim pieces with a utility knife. This is needed to prevent breaking the trim as you remove the trim from the door opening. Use a small pry bar to remove the trim from the inside wall of the opening starting at the bottom of the opening working your way up. It may take time because you have to do it carefully to not damage it. After that, pull the trim from around the inside edge of the door opening with a small pry bar. Still using the pry bar, remove the jamb nailer from the inside of the door opening where the pocket door goes into the wall. If you don’t know which is the jamb nailer, it is the rough piece of wood behind the inside trim. This will be more difficult to remove since it is nailed into the door jamb with larger nails. Slide the door to the close position with the help of a friend to go the outside the room while you stay inside the room. Lift the door up and have your friend push the bottom of the pocket door toward you. The last, pull the top rollers of the door out the upper track and pull it away from the door opening and out of your way.
So, now you can remove your old wall mount sliding doors interior to replace it with the one that is most suitable with your room design.
