Make sure the hole is deep enough for accommodating the sand base which will be built. The patio’s height must be about ¼ above the surrounding ground. Get the edging installed around the hole that has been made before, get the outline followed. Get the edging’s top set slightly below the ground level. Get masonry sand poured and then get it packed down using a compactor. Get solid sand’s base established.
Make sure that you find the base of the sand is NOT level. It should be slopped away from the house’s main water source. Now you can get the flagstone laid down in the hole. Try to use a full sized stone and the get the cutting amount minimized. Before cutting the stone, make mark beforehand at the place you want to cut. Then get the stone removed and then get the cuts made as well as getting the flagstone laid back into the base. Then get the seams between the stones filled with sand.
