Place the water softener in a dry, safe and level area. If you use a two tank softener, place the larger and the resin near one another. Flush the top of the of the distributor tube with the tank. Rest the screen intake to the bottom’s center point. In order to prevent tiny beads entering the distributor tube, you can tape open the tubes. If there is gravel included, you can pour it through into the tank though a funnel slowly. Pouring gravel will cover the screen intake. Fill the tank with softener resin between one-half and three quarters full and tape the distributor tube off. Attach the top basket to the underside of control valve and to the mineral tank. Attach the head of the tank by lubricating the inner o-ring prior. There is a hole in the middle of the valve and it should fit with the distributer tube. Use your hand to tighten the valve in a clockwise motion.
